Gatsby's Questions
Why does he describe almost everything and everyone with colors?
Why is Tom and Daisy still together?
Why Does Gatsby host so many parties?

The Abnormal MInd of Oneself
He didn’t say any more,
but we’ve always been unusually communicative in a reserved way,
and I understood that he meant a great deal more than that.
In consequence,
I’m inclined to reserve all judgments,
a habit that has opened up many curious natures to me
and also made me the victim of not a few veteran bores.
The abnormal mind is quick to detect and attach itself in a normal person,
and so it came about that in college I was unjustly accused of being a politician,
because I was privy to the secret griefs of wild, unknown men.
Most of the confidences were unsought frequently I have feigned sleep,
or a hostile levity when I realized some unmistakable sign an intimate was quivering on the horizon;
for the intimate revelations of young men,
or at least the terms in which they express them,
are usually plagiaristic and marred by obvious suppressions.
Reserving judgments is a matter of infinite hope.
I am still a little afraid of missing something if I forget that,
as my father snobbishly suggested,
and I snobbishly repeat,
a sense of the fundamental decencies is parcelled out unequally at birth. pg.5

Would You Marry for Money or for Love?
In my opinion I would marry for money, because that is one less thing I would have to worry about. But if I fell in love at the age of 16 and made it through everything I wouldn't care if he had money or not. As I grow older and I learn more about the problems we are going to face as young adults it convinces me to look into people like that to have a well off life.
I have always wanted to be rich or wealthy my entire life and ever since I was young I have always said I was going to marry for money. I know it sounds crazy but I feel like my mom told me that at a very young age that it fixed my perspective on marriage. Also if you watch TV and you see some well off women, it just makes me want to be in their shoes. I don't care how they got there, if they made it through their careers or their husbands. I just want to be where they are at, and not want to worry about money.
I am all out for finding that true love, but if a man wants to marry me and I don't love him but he sure is wealthy. Then, of course I'll marry him. Honestly I just have to like the guy to marry for money. I wouldn't care if I loved him. If someone walks into my life well off and I love him, that would be a BIG plus for myself. Unfortunately, things like that don't always happen like that so m answer would be yes, I would marry for money instead of love.

Are Appearances Deceptive?
The way people dress an act are very important to me. I have been raised all my life to always dress presentable and when I was younger I need really knew why, but as I got older my mother was the main one in my life who told me why. She always said to me was because everyone judges people just by how they look. Everyone is like that unfortunately. For example, when I am tired or I wake up super late and I don't look very presentable, people always tell me "you look tired" or "are you sick?" when ever people tell me or ask me certain things like that I feel so embarrassed! So the next day I try to look really pretty or just presentable.
America can be cruel in ways. Such as looks, people who dress well with high brand clothes people automatically think they get paid a lot of money and if they don't people are judge as "poor" or people will just think they don't have money. Which is unfair and people shouldn't be like that.
Also in another way it effects money is when you go to a job interview and you know the job is for you but you walk in wearing something inappropriate or not presentable then people who are interviewing you will judge you on how you dress. In some cases people won't get their dream job just because of that reason and wont get paid good money. It can be very unfair and cruel.
